Aaron has a background as an environmental policy researcher, sustainability leader and consultant. He founded Sky Harvest in 2011 as a spin off from his Masters thesis on how rooftop agriculture could be used to move cities towards sustainability.
Aaron earned his (M.Sc.) in Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability from the Blekinge Institute of Technology in Karlskrona, Sweden. The program was developed in partnership with The Natural Step Framework with the aim of building personal and collective capacity for transformational change. He also holds a B.A in Geography and a minor in GIS and Environmental Analysis from the University of Guelph in Ontario.
Aaron has worked with several prominent organizations within the sustainability and environmental sectors in the Vancouver area. These include work in outreach at BC Hydro and taking on an exciting role coordinating research and outreach at The GLOBE Foundation for a ground breaking project on the Green Economy in British Columbia.
As a committed member of the environmental community Aaron actively volunteers his time with a variety of organizations including The David Suzuki Foundation and The Vancouver Area Cycling.
