Heather Rogers, Microgreen Specialist

Heather

Heather is a sustainability advocate, environmentalist, food lover, and gardener. With a degree in Urban Planning and Human Geography, she has gained a passion for sustainable urban design and the connections between food security, nature, and personal and collective well-being. Originally from Saskatoon, Heather has been spoiled by access to large back yard gardens. Her recent move to Vancouver has her experimenting with urban living and the opportunities of small-space food production for the first time.

Heather is currently studying Building Design at BCIT and enjoys taking on creative design projects in her spare time. When she’s not looking after her plants, Heather is often taking advantage of the fantastic Vancouver cycling network, camping in the Vancouver area, travelling, or harvesting mushrooms!

Favourite Microgreens: Cilantro, Sunflower Shoots, and Oriental Mustard

Favourite way to use Microgreens: Adding some fresh, bright-tasting micro-cilantro to a sunny side up egg makes for a perfect start to the day!
